“White roses and red roses: those were beautiful colours to think of. And the cards for first place and second place and third place were beautiful colours too: pink and cream and lavender. Lavender and cream and pink roses were beautiful to think of. Perhaps a wild rose might be like those colours and he remembered the song about the wild rose blossoms on the little green place. But you could not have a green rose. But perhaps somewhere in the world you could.”

I joined a great group in Flick called
I Drive By Shooting.
What were once peaceful drives in the country with me staring vaguely into
the mid-distance have become a dramatic experience reminiscent of the more
fraught moments in the film “Bonnie and Clyde” when they were on the road.
The perpetual “beep” of my trusty Digital Rebel has been heard for the past two months
as I capture everything that moves along the way.
Here is a nice shot from the end of the peninsula in Sheep’s Head, West Cork.
I’m sure it’s not necessary to travel the length and breath of Ireland
to make nice photos… but it seems to help.
